Job Title Work Based Learning (WBL) Assessor – Performing Manufacturing Operations

• Support delivery and assessment of learning in specific curriculum area(s)
• Contribute to the completion, monitoring and maintenance of Individual Learning and Work Plans (ILWP) to reflect learners’ needs and progress
• Work in conjunction with stakeholders to ensure the learner is supported throughout their qualification.
• Work within the agreed Quality Management System and adhere to quality procedures and correct documentation
• Ensure that learner records are accurate and are maintained in line with data protection and agreed policies
• Ensure the safeguarding of learners
• Support the progression of learners in regard to Essential Skills targets
• Communicate effectively with Novus Cambria colleagues, learners, stakeholders and other departments across the establishment
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation, prison security requirements and agreed policies and procedures
• Participate in continual professional development activities to ensure skills and qualifications are in line with sector best practice.

• Hold a minimum L3 qualification in relevant subject specific area Desirable
• Hold at least a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy Essential
• Hold, or commit to gain within 1 year, an appropriate Assessor qualification (TAQA 3, A1, or equivalent) Essential
• Hold, or commit to gain within 1 year, an appropriate Internal Verifier qualification (TAQA 4, V1, or equivalent) Desirable
• Ability to speak fluent Welsh Desirable
• Subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check Essential

• Up to date knowledge specific to vocational area Essential
• Knowledge of strategies and processes which support learning Essential
• Industry experience in a manufacturing setting Essential
• Recent track record of effective assessing and/or delivering in subject specialism. Desirable
